It is possible to buy really good compact camera at the price up to 1000 PLN. The Canon PowerShot models from the A set will satisfy the large group of the users. Obviously, remember about the information from the previous page. If you need the small and nice camera that is really good for its class, these cameras are for you. The size of the image sensor doesn't change anything - it only can't be smaller the 4 mln of pixels. But, the price will depends from the presence of a storage battery with a charger. It may occurs you buy the camera for 500 PLN and the kit doesn't include the charger and the storage battery. You will have to buy it yourself. The charger with the storage batteries costs 40-130 PLN. The price depends on a capacity of the batteries - the bigger it is the longer the camera will continue its work - and on a time o charging. The time can vary from 1 hour to dozen or so.

In every case the memory card with the capacity of 16 MB will be to small and we will be enforced to buy bigger. The minimum is 128 MB and the optimal capacity is 512 MB or even more - depending of the funds. Remember, that the number of pictures we can take depends on it. With the bigger memory card we won't have to delete some frames or send it to the computer. You have to check carefully the additional card you want to buy if it fits to your camera, because there is plenty of memory cards on the market. Usually the camera works with one or two types of the memory cards. It's worth checking the type of the charging or if there is proper charger in the kit. If your camera works with the AAA batteries the set usually includes them. Then it's worth buying the storage batteries and the charger. In case the camera includes special non-standard storage battery it's usually in the set with the charger and we don't have to spend money on the charger and storage batteries. However, you may consider buying another storage battery. Two sets of batteries allow us to work with the camera constantly without need of waiting for charging and it increase our comfort. You won't worry that you have to finish your session before end of the trip. The digital compact cameras at a price above 1000 PLN resemble the digital SLR camera, but they don't have their features. For that reason they are called hybrid reflex cameras. Their construction is different then the reflex cameras and these terms shouldn't be used interchangeably.

If you want to photograph seriously and already you feel that compact camera it's not for you, you should consider buying reflex camera. As I said they cost few thousands. The cheapest models - Nikon D50, Canon EOS 350D -are available at a price of 2000 PLN. It is necessary to remember that the set doesn't include memory card and always we would have to buy it. In case of these reflex cameras the best card is with the capacity of 1 GB. Also a lens (you can buy camera without the lens) is usually of the lower standard and in the close future you should replace it. You don't have to do it at once, but its quality is worse than the camera. However the quality of the pictures is still better then in case of compact cameras.
